Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, I now live in California. I’m a retired US Marine Corps Officer and award winning photographer. Since 1983, in between tours of duty, I’ve been working in Hollywood as an actor, mostly involved in theater. Due to the economy I make ends meet by doing Actor Head-shots in Hollywood and occasional videography, editing work. Many of my photographic FINE ART images are from my travels while in the Marine Corps and my 2004 tour as an Army contractor in Kuwait. – Most of my travel images were taken with a Mamiya 645 MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERA and since 2001 started taking digital images.
90% of my images are straight photography a few obvious ones have been “Photoshopped”.
I see myself as an artist first and a photographer second because I paint with light to capture not just the form of an object but to also introduce a mood or emotional tie to the art piece. Because of this artistic goal my subjects are varied but hopefully have that emotional element in common.
